The mobile app is the property of the  Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain (ARTM), which is responsible for planning, organizing, funding and promoting public transit in the Greater Montréal area.

Since June 2017, the Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain (ARTM) has mandated exo to develop Chrono. Its goal is to offer users a moble app that allows riders to plan all of their public transit trips (bus, métro and trains) in the Greater Montréal area.

The Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL), the Société de transport de Laval (STL), the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) and exo share their planned data in real time, when available, and work together to improve the Chrono app.
