Types of passes available

Single, multi-pass and monthly. See exceptions.

Reduced fare

If you are eligible, this card gives you access to reduced fares (youth, student or 65+). An OPUS card with photo is required.

Validity

It can be used on all networks (exo, RTL, STL, STM as well as REM when it is activated).

How to get it? Go to a point of sale to get your card. See the list. It is also possible to get one from a fare vending machine.

Expiry

The OPUS card has an expiry date. After this date, the card will no longer work, even if you still have valid passes loaded on it.

OPUS card for All modes AB, ABC and ABCD or Out-of-Territory Bus

Due to technical constraints, it is not possible to load single and multi-pass All AB, ABC and ABCD modes, and Out-of-Territory Bus tickets on the OPUS card you have. A second OPUS card may be required.

How to get it?

Go to a metropolitan ticket office, an STM Client Centre or an Exo sales and service outlet to obtain a new free OPUS card* to purchase these passes. View the list.

*This new dedicated OPUS card will be given to you free of charge upon presentation of a first valid OPUS card registered in your name. It will also allow you to reload a monthly All modes AB, ABC, ABCD or Out-of-Territory Bus, depending on your needs. If you do not already have an OPUS card, the issuing fee for a standard OPUS card will be applied.

Good to know

Due to technical constraints, it is not possible to load all your transit passes onto the same OPUS card.

There are more than a hundred points of sale in the greater Montreal area. Check before you go, as some passes are not available everywhere.
